Ko t? m?tou mahi - Our Role

The Manager Strategic Contracts is responsible for a broad range of specialists who provide technical oversight and support of maintenance delivery contracts and national supply agreements. In this role, you'll lead the ongoing strategic management of Te Mahi Ng?tahi, our maintenance contracts, systems and processes to improve overall performance in terms of management, health & safety, contract delivery, complaint reduction, quality, and value for money.

A key part of your role will be to work closely with a number of teams across K?inga Ora to ensure an integrated understanding of immediate and long term maintenance requirements alongside customer needs and the organisation's strategic goals.

We're looking for an inspirational leader to bring thought leadership and enable a high performing team to focus on improving results in quality, cost and delivery. Our successful candidate will also demonstrate:

  • A solid track record in contract management, maintenance management or property management roles
  • Knowledge and significant experience dealing with the maintenance contracting market and proven contract negotiation and management experience
  • Structured problem solving ability coupled with experience of implementing process and performance improvements
  • A collaborative approach and affinity with new technologies
  • In-depth experience using advanced statistical tools, quantitative analysis and process mapping
