Hands on, strategic procurement leadership role, Experience from the manufacturing sector ideal, South Auckland location.
We urgently require a capable procurement practitioner with experience from the industrial manufacturing sector to hit the ground running.

The opportunity will involve leading the procurement function and helping in its development and growth across NZ. 
This is a 6 month contract opportunity to start with and as the function delivers value through this role then the long term view can be determined.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage the end to end procurement function that support the business critical supply chain functions
  • Continually seek cost reduction and process improvement opportunities
  • Develop and maintain procurement processes for tracking and reporting 
  • Build and maintain cross functional relationships with operations and across multiple sites. 
  • Manage and maintain supplier relationships identifying new sourcing opportunities
  • Manage and monitor company spending with a continuous focus on cost reduction.
Skills and experience:
  • At least 5 years experience working in a strategic procurement focused role from within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to self motivate and work on your own as there will be an Australian reporting line.
  • You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in developing and improving procurement processes.
  • Adaptability in a changing environment and enthusiasm for rolling up your sleeves and helping out across the business.
