As Project Manager (Major Projects), you will be responsible for leading the delivery of major capital projects for the Waitaki District Council.
About this position:
This role is based in our ?amaru office and supports the efficient delivery of major capital projects by ensuring assigned projects are cost-effectively designed, planned, procured, constructed and commissioned. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with multiple teams and community groups to deliver high profile community assets - like the proposed Waitaki Sports & Events Centre and the Oamaru Harbour Plan - by taking concepts and making them a reality.
You will be an experienced and qualified Project Manager, ideally, with specific expertise in managing high profile, community-focused projects. Your excellent communication and relationship management skills will be vital in your day-to-day dealings with project teams, consultants, contractors, key stakeholders, community groups, and the public.
